Dr. Wilson began his career 35 years ago at Arthur Young & Co., one of the big five accounting firms in the world by that time. Consequently, he became Finance Executive for various business ventures starting from Biwater Shellabear UK (construction), American International Underwriters (insurance), Lane Moving and Storage, Finland (International Personal Effect Forwarding) and Nedloyd Australia (advertising). For 10 years he was a Financial Consultant for the Department of Agriculture and Department of Forestry for ADB and World Bank projects.
He started to become a lecturer in 2001 until he was assigned as Vice Rector for the Perbanas Institute before joining Sampoerna University in March 2013 as senior lecturer and currently is assigned as Head of Accounting Study Program.
Paul L. Hudson, Jr., otherwise known as 'Link', is an experienced educator and trainer. His work experience includes work in marketing research for a Time Warner subsidiary and for an Internet marketing start-up firm that was later acquired by eBay. His Indonesian work experience includes work as a trainer for HSBC in Jakarta.
Dr. Hudson's research interests include venture capital internationalization and cross cultural psychology as it relates to management.
Prior to joining Sampoerna University, Mr. Bambang worked as a business professional in global information and communication technology group of companies for more than 15 years; among these companies are OpenSys (Malaysia) Berhad, NEC Corporation, Philips Electronics NV, and Siemens AG.
He joined Sampoerna School of Business in 2010, where he has been teaching various general management and marketing courses. Besides teaching and researching, he also serves as the coordinator for Sampoerna University’s Investment Gallery, a cooperation between the Faculty of Business and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Ari Barkah Djamil was an auditor of Arthur Andersen, Prasetio Utomo Public Accounting firm on projects in industries such as building management, telecommunication and manufacturing and He was also internal auditor and compliance officer for Life Insurance Company for 4 years.
He was formerly the Head of Program Accounting and Finance and also the Head of School Accounting and Finance Binus University International. Prior to join Sampoerna University, he was the Head of Division Standard and Operating Procedures for PT First Media, tbk.
Ivan Butar is a Vice Dean for Academic & Student Affairs at the Faculty of Business, Sampoerna University. He is a Greenleaf Scholar.
Ivan obtained his Ph.D. in Organization from Monash Business School. His doctoral research has won awards including Emerald / EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in the United Kingdom (2012) and Greenleaf Scholars Award in the United States (2011). He was also a recipient of Australian Leadership Award (ALA) Scholarship (2008-2012).
He has conducted collaborative research and consulting works with many organizations such as Australian Institute of Management, McDonald’s Australia, Nestle Australia, Palladium Australia, Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Bank Central Asia (BCA), Unilever Indonesia, and Aneka Tambang.
He has co-authored academic papers including published several articles in the Journal of Business Ethics (Financial Times Top 50 Journals). He has also been involved in reviewing role for leading academic journals such as Journal of Business Ethics and British Journal of Management.
Prior to his current appointment at Sampoerna University, Ivan held academic appointments at The Australian National University (ANU), The University of Melbourne, Monash University, Universitas Indonesia, and spent time as a management consultant.
Dr. Alamsyah began his career more than 30 years ago in an international shipping company and executive in freight forwarding company. He later spent over 23 years working in an oil & gas multinational company in various senior managerial position dealing with operational issues.
He actively involved in various national and international conferences, seminars and workshop related to oil & gas either as speaker, chairman or core delegate.
He was Director of Academics of IPMI Business School (2010-2012) before join Sampoerna School of Business (SSB) in June 2012 as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and now he’s the Dean of Faculty of Business Sampoerna University.

Christian joined the Faculty of Business in 2012 as a part-time lecturer and became a full-time lecturer in 2013. He chairs the CEO TALK program by inviting industry leaders to the campus, organizes company visits for students, as well as placing students in various internship programs. He also has extensive experience in the private sector with more than 10 years of working for reputable consumer electronics and infrastructure companies.
Bambang Setiono contributed to the development of the Sampoerna School of Business (SSB) before it became part of the Sampoerna University. SSB has produced graduates that currently working for Big 4 accounting firms and Multinational corporations (MNC). He has experiences in applying accounting knowledge for addressing chronic issues in the world such forest degradation and corruption. With the chairman of the Indonesian Financial Intelligence Unit (PPATK), he introduced anti-money laundering approach for dealing with illegal logging and corruption. He is currently working with lectures all over Indonesia to implement accounting knowledge for addressing another problem of the world, financial exclusion of many poor and marginal people in Indonesia.
Bambang Setiono is currently Chairman of the Association of Lectures for Financial and Economic Development (ALFED) and Chairman of the Institute of Indonesian Public Accountability (IIPA).
Bambang Setiono previously served as an auditor for the Indonesian state development and financial supervision (BPKP) and a research fellow at Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). He then took a senior position in the World Bank Indonesian program on the Program Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (PNPM) before joining the Sampoerna University.
Dr. M. Gunawan Alif’s general area of expertise lies in marketing, marketing communications, consumer behavior, corporate culture and media management. He had long experience in media and marketing communication industry. He was the Head of Team Operational III (1989 – 1997) in Matari Advertising, one of the top five advertising agencies in Indonesia, and also served as a team leader in several government projects.
His passion in teaching brought him to join Sampoerna University in 2013. He believes that education has an important role in building students’ leadership, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility, to be a successful entrepreneur and globally-ready individual.
Dr. Wahyoe Soedarmono’s expertise is in the areas of empirical banking and finance. These include bank risk management, corporate governance, prudential regulations, international finance and macroeconomics.
He was a macro and fiscal policy analyst for the World Bank assessing the outlook of the Indonesian economy and reviewing public expenditure analysis. He also served as a research fellow at Bank Indonesia, analyzing the issues of macroprudential regulations in emerging markets. His academic papers have been published in Q1-Q2 international journals indexed in Scopus, such as: Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money; Journal of Asian Economics; Research in International Business and Finance; and Revue Economique.
He joined the Faculty of Business in 2013 and currently serves as Head of Management Study Program and Project Manager of Banking and Finance education program in collaboration with PT. Bank HSBC Indonesia and Putera Sampoerna Foundation.
